Man, this impressed ME! He was so ON it! Sorry the videos are a bit shaky. . .We were moving! He was pulling nice through tall, clumpy grass. I really had to be careful of my footing. He ate very little food along the way, even at the start. Somewhere along the way I tried to adjust the camera view and accidently stopped and restarted it. So there are 2 videos. He PICKED up the article at the end! I used a glove and stuffed his toy into the glove with treats and secured it closed w/ rubberband. No self-rewarding! Question: When do I start using a START article? And HOW? Do I ask him to pick it up or DOWN on it? Or just sniff it and go? Part I Part II
Cutting the acute is fine, if you think about it, that leg is super close to the one he was on. As you offer this to him more, he will eventually fall for the ‘false leg’ and have to look behind him. You can also try putting that 5 yard false leg in on a 90 degree turn.
