Learned some good things today! The scuff, walk, drop food pattern. . .I finally understand it AND was able to use it effectively! Also used some double line-ups! Did 2 starter tracks. . .one in woods, one in open field. Both maybe 60-100 yards. 1 hour 15 and other one 1 hour 30. It was also "double-layed" so that Bob could follow and see how to lay the track. Woods track --awesome. He kept his nose DOWN and even ate some of the food drops. Made a nice turn, over a big log and stopped at article! Judi said that was the best she has seen him track! Open field -- started about 45 degrees off the first direction. He nailed the start. Pulled hard. . .nose higher than in woods. Then started paralleling the track (4-5 ft to the right).
