Buster Coolwater class 11/29/25 Car passing

  Video Forgot to get map from Jen.  Was a basic U shape, long legs with short leg turn.2 turns total.  Aged 45 minutes.  No start article, just toy at end.  Good start, but then got very distracted by CAR going by.  Wanted to chase.  I held him.  I think he was pissed, but decided to track like a bull moose!  Good first left turn, but then when got close to road where car passed, wanted to go right.  I held, moved back, & watered. Finally he turned in correct direction. Stopped and wagged tail at article.  I coached down and he did a half-ass down.  I rewarded it!   Then you hear MAM coaching me with more article ID.  We are continuing to work article ID in yard and OUTDOORS.  Also need to sharped DOWN (proof?) in all environments.

Stair step 11/24/25 Rockland B & B

 This turned out longer than I thought. But overall, I am pleased.  I changed up the pattern from SP at 5 to just FD in and out of turns.  LIVERWURST chunks!  Very stinky & messy!  But he LOVED it!  He tracked very deliberately and did NOT pull like a bull moose!  He indicated every clip on turns.  Most turns he went in correct direction right away.  A couple of turns he circled back and wanted to re-check.   Check out video at 4 minutes for LEFT turn.  He started left, then circled back. . .checked out the right a  while.  Was he looking for a short cut to the end???!!! I think I'm doing a better job of NOT guiding him.  Trying to let HIM make the decisions and just stay directly behind him.  Recognizing LOS on turns much better.   He stopped and wagged his tail at all articles.  Still trying for the DOWN!  (working at home in yard/outdoors).  This is so Buster -style. . .on HIS...

Class #1 11/15/25 Holly Ridge

 What a beautiful day!  Mostly cloudy.  58 degrees, dry.   1st track --1 blind turn.  SP at 5, then food drops in and OUT of turn.  NO start article.    Great start.  Went right into turn.  Stopped at stuffed toy at end. . .I ran up to him and told him to down.  He did half way.     I need to STOP running up to him. . .just stand still and tell him to down from where I am.   Video #1 Track #2    Video #2 Again, no start article.  SP at 5.  Food in/out of turns AND leading up to article(glove).  Great pull at start.  I need to make a decision to either HOLD or STEP behind him when he is slightly off track.  He seems to self-correct when I step behind him. . .so I think I will keep with that.  Also, I need to remember to keep tension on the lead at ALL times.  He stopped for a few seconds and I did NOT have tension on the line.    Better article indic...

 Whew!  I could barley hold on!  Dog was walking over part of our track just before we started.  He wanted to follow.  I held him best I could.     Later he wanted to cut some turns. . .but again, I held him. Video

Buster 2 1-turn tracks 6/15/25

 Carmel Church.  Humid!  Not awful for June.   Wanted to keep it short for 2 reasons:  1) heat  2) healing for luxating patella on back left.  He didn't limp at all today.  Yay! 1st right turn track          2nd 1-turn track
